This website is operated by Lumens of Truth, based in Canada (“Lumens,” “we,” or “us”). These terms apply to your use of the website and its content. By using it, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the site. Our Privacy policy explains how we handle personal information; these terms do not replace any consent required for a particular use of that information.

Purpose and information

We share Christian teaching, ministry news, stories, prayer material, and resources. This content is for general informational and religious purposes. It is not legal, tax, financial, medical, or other professional advice. Historical articles and prayer requests describe circumstances at their stated dates and may no longer reflect current conditions.

Permitted and prohibited use

Use the website lawfully and respect the people and communities described. You must not:

• Disrupt the service, introduce malicious code, attempt unauthorized access, bypass security controls, or collect information from restricted areas without permission.
• Impersonate another person, misuse personal information, infringe intellectual-property rights, or use the site to harass, exploit, misrepresent, or endanger anyone.
• Suggest an endorsement, partnership, fundraising authority, or affiliation that Lumens has not authorized.

Copyright, resources, and links

Website content, photographs, design, logos, and other materials are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Rights belong to Lumens or the relevant authors and other rights holders. A resource may have its own licence or permissions, which take precedence for that resource.

You may link to public pages and make personal, non-commercial copies of Lumens’ own content, keeping attribution and copyright notices intact. This permission does not grant rights to third-party books, translations, music, photographs, videos, trademarks, or other separately owned material. For republication, translation, adaptation, substantial distribution, or commercial use beyond what applicable law permits, ask the relevant rights holder first. Linking must not misrepresent the source or suggest endorsement.

Privacy and sensitive stories

Some material concerns people in sensitive circumstances. Do not use it to identify, locate, contact, or expose someone in a way that threatens their privacy or safety. Please report content or rights concerns to us. We may correct, restrict, or remove material or access when necessary to protect people, respond to a concern, or maintain the service.

Messages and publication enquiries

The Contact and printed-copy forms prepare drafts in your email application; you decide whether to send them. Preparing a draft does not confirm delivery, create an order, reserve stock, or constitute acceptance of a purchase. Published prices and item subtotals are information for an enquiry. Availability, shipping, taxes, final price, payment, and any sale terms must be confirmed separately with the publication contact before you commit to a purchase.

Send only information you are entitled to share. An enquiry does not transfer ownership of your material or give blanket permission to publish a private message, testimony, or photograph.

External services and giving

Links, video players, newsletter signup, and resource services may be operated by other organizations. Their terms and privacy policies apply to their services. We do not control their content, security, availability, or transactions, and a link is not a guarantee of those services.

Donations through an external partner are received and administered by the named recipient under its own policies. Check the recipient, designation, currency, fees, refund policy, and receipt information before giving. Lumens does not guarantee tax deductibility or the availability of a particular receipt. This website does not collect payment-card details or process a donation or purchase itself.

Availability and warranties

We aim to provide useful and accurate information, but the website and its content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we make no warranty that they are complete, current, accurate, uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or suitable for a particular purpose. We may change, suspend, or discontinue website content or features.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Lumens and its officers, workers, and volunteers are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from use of, or inability to use, this website or reliance on its content. This includes loss of data, income, or opportunity where such an exclusion is lawful.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud or limits any responsibility, remedy, or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Applicable mandatory legal protections continue to apply.

Changes and general provisions

We may revise these terms by posting an updated version and date. Changes apply prospectively, subject to any notice or agreement required by applicable law. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law. A delay in enforcing a provision does not waive the right to enforce it later.
