Pray for Afghans and Afghanistan

Praise the Lord, we were able to launch our Afghan School of Theology website. You will be able to find our teachings, preachings, Gospel-centred short responses, Afghan worship songs, Old and New Testament stories for children, and the Afghan Journal of Theology. 

Please pray that the Lord uses this website to reach many Afghans with the Gospel!

While most of the content is not English, you can find a lot of descriptions of what each video is about to help you share it better with your Afghan friends!  You can check our website at: https://www.afghanschool.org. Thank you for your continued prayers for us and for our ministry! 

Please keep us in your prayers as we are in the process of developing a new website for our ministry's Afghan branch. Since we lack a dedicated website developer, we are putting in extra time and effort into this project. We seek your prayers for the Lord's guidance and help in this crucial work.

On this day, when the whole world celebrates International Women's Day, please pray for Afghan women, who continue to be more and more marginalized and pushed out of society into their homes by the Taliban. Please pray that in the midst of all the oppression, pain, and poverty that the women of Afghanistan experience, that they would come to know true freedom in Jesus. Please also pray for the tens of thousands of Afghan women are leaving Afghanistan. Pray for their safety and that the Lord would be their provider.

Please pray for two members of our team as they are heading to the US to share about what the Lord is doing among the unreached peoples of Afghanistan through Lumens of Truth. Please pray that as Hasib leads in worship and Samir shares from the Word, that the Lord would encourage and build His church for the sake of His mission among the unreached. Thank you for being prayer warriors for the Gospel!

Please pray for our team and families as February has been a month of multiple people in our team getting sick. Pray for quick recovery and protection so that we can continue strongly in our ministry! Thanks for your prayers! 🙏

It was our joy to be a part of the missions week celebration at a local church. Our brothers and sisters from multiple countries shared delicious snacks and foods, celebrating the diversity of the body of Christ. We shared some Afghan cookies and jelabi. We also had the privilege of sharing a Dari worship song in the worship time led in multiple languages. 

It really felt like a little piece of heaven on earth! It was breath-taking to know that one day before the throne of God there will be Afghans singing as well. Thanks for praying with us and standing with us to see more Afghans come to know and worship our King!

As we are compiling all the data for 2023, we are so grateful and are celebrating the fact that our videos on TikTok have been watch over a quarter millions times. It is incredible to see that more and more Afghans are getting access to the Gospel through our ministry! Please pray that the Lord meets the Afghans, who do not know him yet, through these videos!

Please pray for Samir as he has restarted a Live Show, where he teaches through the different books of the Bible and has live conversations with Muslims who have questions about the Christian faith. This show used to be watched by 200-300 Afghans simultaneously on TikTok, and so many Afghans heard and engaged with the Gospel through it! Pray that the Lord would use these teachings and these conversations for his glory!

Please pray for two of our team members who are in a two week, full-time theology class with some other Afghan. Even some brothers and sisters are attending this class from Afghanistan! Pray that these classes would be effective in helping all the students know Jesus better, grow in their knowledge of the Word, and, finally, to become effective servants of the Gospel.

Please urgently pray for the 4 million Afghans, including 840,000 pregnant and nursing women, facing acute malnutrition. Please pray that the different NGOs working to bring aid may be able to do so swiftly and without much interference from the Taliban.
