Pray for Afghans and Afghanistan

Please pray for unity among Afghan believers, particularly those in ministry, so we may stand as one for the sake of Gospel among the unreached peoples of Afghanistan. May our hearts be aligned, our mission clear, and our love for one another be a testament of Christ’s grace. Pray that unity may be the mark of the Afghan Christians and the Afghan church. Pray that, together, we can reach those who have yet to hear the Good News.

Please pray for some of our team members who are traveling to a closed country. Pray for their safety and protection. Pray that their journey may be fruitful as they are teaching in a conference on discipleship. They are also producing some short videos, sharing the message of hope of the Gospel.

Thank God for bringing a new volunteer who has joined our ministry! Please pray that they feel welcomed, equipped, and encouraged as they serve the Lord alongside us. 

Please pray for one of our team members who has just returned home after nearly two months of ministry overseas. He became quite sick toward the end of the trip, so pray that the Lord would grant him rest and a speedy recovery.

Please pray for wisdom as we film a course on the book of 1 Corinthians. Please pray for clarity in delivering the message, and for God’s power to work through every aspect of this production. Our hope is that this course will help the Afghan church encounter the love of Christ in new and profound ways.

Please pray for our ministry among Afghan refugees. This week, a colleague will join our partners in a refugee camp, leading worship, meeting with Afghan families, praying for their needs, and sharing Christ’s love. Pray for God’s protection, guidance, and the Holy Spirit’s presence, that hearts may be touched and lives transformed by God’s love.

Please pray for our team as we are preparing to film a course on the book of 1 Corinthians in the next month. We have been working for months on studying the text and preparing to film it. 

Please pray for wisdom, understanding, and creativity to film in a way that will be effective in helping the Afghan church grow deeper in the Word of God. Please pray for everyone involved in the filming process, specially Samir as he will be teaching the course. 

May this be a new step in the development of more theological resources that is grounded deeply in the Word of God for the unreached peoples of Afghanistan!

Please pray for our team as we are meeting for annual team meetings. Pray that this will be a fruit time of getting to know each other better, plan and pray for the year ahead, and unity in vision for our team. 

Please pray for the Afghans who have been affected by severe floods in the province of Baghlan and at least three other provinces in Afghanistan. Pray for those who have lost loved ones and pray for those who have lost all their livelihood. 

Praise the Lord since the launch of our afghanschool.org website less than two weeks ago, it has been seen by over 800 Afghans and 12 of them have reached out to us to either begin a conversation or join a small group to learn more about Jesus! Praise the Lord!
