An Afghan Woman's Anger at God

During one of our TikTok Live shows, an Afghan woman joined us for a dialogue. She was very hostile.

As I began sharing, she abruptly interrupted me and said, “All religions are the same. They are just businesses to fool people. Where is God when young Afghan children starve? Where is He when their boats capsize and they beg Him to save them as they drown as refugees as they are desperately trying to reach safety? Where is God in their hopelessness, in their pain, and in their tears?…"
There was a moment of silence. I finally spoke and shared how I had encountered God in the midst of my own pain as a refugee. How I had the same questions and had finally found the answers in Jesus.

Something changed. She said, “There is truth in your eyes. This is one of the most genuine conversations I have ever had. Thank you for letting me share my pain, listening to me, and sharing your heart."
Later, she began defending me in the comments section against other Muslims, who were insulting me. Another Muslim man watching said, “What you are sharing and how you are sharing it is turning your enemies into defenders, like this woman."
It was incredible to see how the Lord softened this woman’s hearts. Please pray for her that the Lord would call her to Himself. Also pray for us as we share the Gospel to thirsty hearts.
