We are excited to announce the release of an evangelistic booklet titled “Don't Free Me!” This booklet is written by Samir and was published by Lumens of Truth.

The booklet begins with analyzing a profound song by arguably the greatest Afghan singer, Ahmad Zahir, in history. This song is known by majority of Afghans.
The song speaks of a bird imprisoned in a cage where there is neither freedom, nor hope, nor a saviour to rescue us. Paradoxically, the bird is not asking to be freed. The question of the booklet is: why?
The answer in the song is: there is no freedom, there is no hope, and there is no saviour.
Samir reflects on this powerful image and shows that every human being, whether knowingly or not, is caught in such cages of sin, sorrow, addiction, shame, guilt, loneliness, and fear. But this is not where the story ends.
There is a Saviour
Through his death and resurrection, Jesus opened the way to true and eternal freedom. This booklet invites Afghans to see this familiar pain in a new light, not as a dead end, but as a doorway to hope through the cross.
This booklet is a great resource to give to your Afghan friends, Christian or Muslim, to help them see the beautiful message of the Gospel!

But “Don't Free Me!” is not only an evangelistic booklet, it is also a step forward in Afghan theology, where the Gospel speaks to the Afghan heart.
P.S. The first print has already been distributed and Afghans from over 11 countries are asking for copies to be sent out to them to be shared with Afghans! We are currently in the process of doing a second print.
