In a world where pride often rules and power is measured by strength, Jesus showed a different way. On the night He was betrayed, the King of Kings took a towel, knelt down, and washed the dusty feet of His disciples. This worship song was produced for our Afghan Home Church’s Easter Service.

Why would He do such a thing?
Why would Jesus wash his disciples’ feet? This Afghan worship song leads us into the heart of that question. Again and again, it reminds us that Christ came to heal the pride within us. His humility was not a performance. This is His way and this is what He calls us as His disciples to imitate.
Today, in Afghanistan and around the world, where might is right, Afghans continue need to hear that the path of Christ is the path of considering others above ourselves. This is a call for believers to look to Jesus, who has come to heal us of our pride.
It is inevitable to expect suffering in this way. But this worship song reminds us that even death must retreat when Jesus gives the command. And His promise still stands: “I am with you until the very end.”
This song is part of a growing movement of Afghan worship songs that call believers to deeper faith and true discipleship. In a place like Afghanistan, where following Christ often comes at a high cost, the example of Jesus washing the feet of His followers shines even brighter.
This is not just a song to sing. It is a prayer for our hearts and a reminder that the way of Christ is the way of humility, service, and love.
